MSG management specially Chairman Mr. Hamid takes personal interest of looking after disabled members. These members are house-bound, isolated from the world outside. Mr Hamid’s visions is to give these people new lease of life by bringing them out and make them feel equal to others. Mr Hamid takes these individuals to coffee shops, takes them to restaurants for meal and they enjoy the life very much. Mr Hamid also helps every week two disabled members to gym and swim sessions. MSG are trying to bring more disabled individuals to join the group.

From early start, MSG realised the importance of computer knowledge and therefore acquired laptops from SMEF which enabled members to learn basic computer skills. These days everything is computer based and older generation has left behind on ever fast pace of technology. MSG were fortunate to have help from Surrey Libraries. Sam and Elliott did best to teach our members. Currently, Alys and Eleanor has this responsibility and they are doing best to teach our members computer skills.

MSG men’s wing meets twice a week. Tuesday meeting comprises of social chat, speech on a subject like mental health, sometimes a team from outside comes to deliver speech on a specific subject along with traditional tea/coffee made fresh with biscuits.
Saturdays men’s gathering have social chats and sports like snooker, badminton, Darts , Carrom board for members to enjoy different activities which are good for mental and physical health.

MSG is equally committed to well-being of ladies of community and holds activities for them as well. Women’s gathering is every Wednesday (once a week) consisting of Yoga exercise, tea, coffee and biscuits.

MSG management always promotes healthy living, one of them is walking. It is good for day to day living and helps keep fit.

This is also part of help from sport England . MSG chairman Mr Hamid takes personal interest in bringing disabled members for swimming. Here you can see amongst others a disabled member being helped.

MSG , with help from Sports England , arranged gym sessions for its members, men/women, disabled/non-disabled. MSG promotes healthy lifestyle and gym is a part of that, it keeps members fit and also promotes good mental health.
